Modern diesel engines are more complex than ever, and while they are exceptionally reliable, they do require regular maintenance and service to ensure peak performance. When your truck develops an issue, you need it diagnosed, serviced and repaired quickly so you can get back on the road and back to work.
The diagnosis and repair of electrical problems is possibly the most time-consuming and difficult form of vehicle diagnosis. With advancements in heavy-duty trucks’ electrical systems, and connections buried deep under the seats, carpet, dash, and body panels of your truck, electrical problems require a great deal of knowledge, experience, and patience to locate and repair. Not to mention, modern, up-to-date technologies and diagnostic equipment. Our tech-savvy and experienced technicians are able to use computer diagnostic systems to locate and target the exact cause of engine or vehicle failure with spot-on accuracy. Not only do you get quick diagnostics, but our systems also save you money that you may have otherwise spent on unnecessary assessments and repairs.
During your heavy-duty truck inspection, one of our highly skilled mechanics will perform a computerized scan to identify any problems within minutes. We understand the importance of getting problems fixed quickly, correctly and affordably.

Indicators of electrical issues
The number one indicator of an electrical issue will be a light (or array of lights) on your dashboard. Beyond that, there are some other signs you may notice which could be your truck telling you there’s an electrical problem:
- Damaged or failed battery
- Inability to start your engine
- The smell of burnt plastic
- Faulty or discoloured wiring
- Dull headlights or brake lights

I've been using Schroeder's since 2010.My 2016 peterbilt had 95% of all repairs done here. I bought the truck new in 2015 it has 735,000 on it. They do all the work on my 2023 peterbilt also. They also do all my trailer repairs as my trucks are car haulers.Top notch service, excellent staff and good people that stand behind their work. They have gone above and beyond for me numerous times and I know they would for you too. Thanks for all you do! Great job for a really long time.
Fast, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Mobile after-hours services are outstanding, and my trucks are able to stay on the road during the day.
Great experience at a bad moment. They took our truck in their shop right after arrival, diagnosed bad batteries and lose wire on the alternator that was causing battery overcharge. They already had the right batteries, replaced them and it took them 1h45min together with diagnostics and replacement. The charge was fair as well. I wish every shop was like them. Right on point, great feedback and organized. We didnt even had to cancel our reload. We loaded on time and kept trucking. Two thumbs up!
Experienced and well-equipped shop that takes great care of your rig. I came in with a few issues—they took me in right off the street and had everything fixed within a couple of hours, saving me valuable time. Big plus: they really know how to maintain your Carhauler!
We were Left in a bind on our Annual inspections for our trailers, I called Schroder, and Phil was very helpful in getting the inspections completed. Joey was prompt, informative, polite, and their work is top notch. They are now our go to for any of our service needs on our trailer repairs.
